FAQ
How many pictures will we receive?
The number of final images you receive depends on the session type and package you choose. I focus on quality over quantity, delivering only the best images that tell your story in a meaningful and beautiful way.
As a general guide:
Mini Sessions: 10–20 professionally edited images
Standard Sessions: 40–60 images
Weddings or Events: 300–600+ images (depending on hours of coverage)
I carefully sort through every photo taken and select the strongest moments, the ones that are sharp, well-lit, and emotionally resonant, so you receive a curated gallery full of images you'll love. If you'd like access to additional images beyond your package, I also offer options to purchase extras.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
The sweet spot for a newborn session is usually between 5 and 14 days after birth. Around this time, babies are still super sleepy and love being curled up, which makes it easier to capture those soft, cozy moments.
That said, every baby (and every birth experience!) is different, so don’t stress if things don’t go exactly to plan. Don't worry, we can still get beautiful, meaningful photos, whether they’re wide-eyed or snoozing.
I recommend booking while you’re still pregnant, so we can pencil in a spot around your due date. Once baby arrives, we’ll lock in the actual date based on how everyone’s feeling.
How should we dress for our family session?
Keep it simple and true to you! I always suggest coordinating, not matching, pick a color palette (think neutrals, soft earth tones, or pastels), and let each person wear outfits that fit within that range. This keeps your photos looking natural and timeless without everyone wearing the exact same thing.
Some quick tips:
Avoid loud logos, neon colors, or busy patterns as they can distract from the connection and emotion in the photos.
Textures like knits, linen, or denim photograph beautifully.
Comfort is key, especially for little ones! If they feel good, they’ll look good.
Think layers and accessories, a cozy sweater, a hat, or a scarf can add great texture and personality.
For a beach shoot, think light and airy soft colors, flowy fabrics, and outfits you can move comfortably in work best.
If you’re not sure where to start, I’m happy to help you choose outfits or send over a style guide with examples!
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
Totally okay! You're not alone! Most people feel a little awkward at first, and that’s completely normal. My job is to help you relax, have fun, and forget the camera is even there.
I’ll gently guide you through natural prompts (nothing stiff or forced) so your photos feel real, not posed. You don’t need to worry about what to do, just show up as you are, and I’ll take care of the rest.
Some of the best photos come from the in-between moments when you're just being yourselves.
